Willa Onieda Dodd Harris, 62, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Philadelphia Deliverance Tabernacle. She went home surrounded by her loving husband, daughter and her family and brothers-in-law. She fought a huge fight for three years. She was always so very brave. She was her daughter's hero.
Her funeral will be Monday, September 20, 2021 at noon at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, with Chris Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Harris' special nephews, Justin Henderson, Daniel Dodd, Frankie Harris and Judson Dodd and brothers, Lonnie Dodd and Jimmy Dodd. Honorary pallbearer will be Mrs. Harris' nephew, Shane O'Neal Dodd.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 43 years, Jerry Wayne Harris. They have a daughter, who served as her Mom's caregiver, LaShonda D. Harris and spouse Sabrena Harris, and they have two children, Joshua McGaughy and Lexie Harris; her brothers, Lonnie (Shirley) Dodd, Glen Dodd, Donnie Dodd and Jimmy Lee (Kim) Dodd; sisters, Rhonda Henderson and Carol Anne Barnett; a large group of nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Deanna Wood.
Willa was joined in Heaven by her parents, William Thomas Dodd and Helen Carol Spurlock Dodd; an infant son, William Thad Harris; grandparents, Grady and Beatrice Dodd and Jim and Nina Muffley; brother, Tommy O'Neal Dodd; sister Rita Dodd and her close friend, Francis Groom.
