WINSTON COUNTY - A local cemetery is now one of just two in Winston County officially considered historic by the State of Alabama.

Sacred Harp singing at Friendship canceled this year

HALEYVILLE - Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, located on County Road 23, has an annual Sacred Harp singing and decoration on the fourth Sunday in April. Decoration this year is Sunday, April 26. Due to the COVID-19 virus, the singing portion of decoration has been canceled this year. However, the cemetery will be cleaned and the decorating of graves will continue.
