Gary Gene Wood, 69, of Haleyville, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at home. No services are planned. Wilson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Gary was born June 25, 1953, at Patrick AFB, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Gene Wood and Mary Ruth Hulsey Wood.
Gary is survived by his brothers, Roy Wood and Paul (Pam) Wood; extended family members and lifelong friends, Donna and Bobby Woods.
He was thankful for family members and close friends who were able to visit, call or message him during his fight with cancer. He loved to help others and valued the loved of family and friends over material possessions. His brothers look forward to sharing love and memories with those good folks in the near future.
