Arrest made in Lynn house fire case

LYNN      -  A Walker County woman faces arson and theft charges related to an Oct. 16 house fire on Dodd Street, where the homeowner suspected a fire was set in three separate locations in his home as well as some items taken.
Hannah Laura Elizabeth Addison, 25, has been charged with arson second degree and theft of property third degree, according to Lynn Police Chief Bryan Kirkpatrick.
Clay Hall, who has lived at a site-built home on Dodd Street the past year, had left for work with Norfolk Southern Railroad around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, only to be alerted the following morning by a neighbor that his house was on fire, he said.
“Mr. Hall after he went up there and went through the house, he discovered that he had some things missing,” Kirkpatrick stated.  
Hall had noticed that a 32-inch TV was stolen from the bedroom area, as well as determined two pair of tennis shoes had also been taken, the police chief said.
While Lynn Police were investigating the theft, the Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating for possibly arson, authorities said.
“(Addison) was the suspect at the time,” said Kirkpatrick. “She was in a prior relationship with (Hall).”

Based on evidence collected in the investigation, Addison was picked up on Oct. 17,  by Walker County authorities, and was transported to the Winston County Jail in Double Springs, where she made $25,000 bond and was released on Oct. 18, officials said.
