Terry Lance Gravitt, a beloved father, partner and friend, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Born in Haleyville, Terry brought warmth, humor and heart to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Terry worked as a materials manager for Clayton Homes, where his reliability and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. But beyond his career, Terry lived with purpose — embracing life fully, always seeking adventure and finding joy in the simple and meaningful things. He was known for his love of traveling, his passion for making life as smooth and convenient as possible and, most of all, for his commitment to doing the next right thing. These values defined his life and left a lasting impression on those around him.
Terry is survived by his mother, Sue Gravitt; his son, Lance Gravitt (Morgan Liveoak Gravitt), and significant other of 18 years, Judy Overton; brother, Randy Gravitt and nephews, Chris and Levi Gravitt.
Terry loved his family deeply and was a steady source of support, wisdom and strength in their lives. His presence, guidance and laughter will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind.
His family will be receiving friends Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 2-3 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 3 p.m.
