Kathy Cole won the September 23, run-off election for Place 3 on the Double Springs Town Council.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Double Springs Town Council will now be complete for its next term, after the run-off election Tuesday, September 23, determined the winner for Place 3.
Kathy Cole will be joining the council after defeating Mark Taylor. Cole received 70 votes, with Taylor receiving 37 votes.
Cole also received the most votes in the August 26, municipal election, getting 120 votes compared to Taylor's 92 votes. Travis Fichtner received 35 votes August 26. None of the three candidates received the necessary 50 percent plus 1 vote to avoid a run-off.
Cole will take her seat on the council the first Monday in November.
