Virginia Kathy Williamson, 81, of Addison, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Kathy was born August 19, 1944 to Espy and Nettie Privett. She grew up in Addison, where she was a member of Mt. Pleasant for many years. She enjoyed going to visit people and was a very outgoing lady. Kathy was a faithful wife for over 57 years to the late Johnny Mack Williamson and was a lifelong nurse.
Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2026 from 12- 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in the Nesmith community, where her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Brother John Echols will officiate. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Chad (Clancy) Wiliamson and Todd Williamson; grandchildren, Gracie Williamson, Benjamin Williamson, and Nathaniel Williamson; great-grandson on the way, Jace Alan Williamson; brother, Teddy (Beverly) Privett; sister, Carol Echols and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Mack Williamson; parents, Espy and Nettie Privett; sister, Marcie Laseter and Willa Jo Carter and brothers, Freddy Privett and Finis Privett.
