Franky Dale Cornelius, 64, of Northport, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, March 23, 2026. His graveside service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Rock Creek Cemetery, Double Springs, beginning at 12 p.m., with James Woodall officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be DCH Cancer Specialist Dr. Williams and his staff; neighbors and Franky’s sweet friends and the staff at Presbyterian Apartments in Northport. Also serving will be Tonya Mathews, a special niece who cared for her Uncle Franky. Morrison Funeral Home will direct.
Franky was a member of the Church of God, Seventh Day. He liked to read and fish and enjoyed going to yard sales and antique stores.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn Cornelius and brothers, Danny Cornelius, Johnny Cornelius, Mac Cornelius, and Henry Cornelius.
Franky is survived by his brother, Bill Cornelius (Christine); sisters, Glenda Brown (Jack), Brenda Haraway, Laura Mathews (Buddy), Edna Vinson (Ricky), and Ellen Stephens (Bruce) and a host of nieces and nephews.
