Heath Lewis

Randall Heath Lewis, 40, of Double Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Baptist Health Princeton in Birmingham.

Heath was born April 16, 1986 to Randall and Rhonda Lewis. On February 3, 2012 he married the love of his life, Kapsey Hyche Lewis, then on December 44, 2020, their life was made whole when Henely Bishop Lewis joined their family.

Heath was steady, solid, and selfless. He was honorable and dedicated to serving his community. Heath started with Haleyville Police Department in 2011 and continued to serve until 2016, when he joined Double Springs Police Department, where he served with honor, pride and integrity.

Visitation for a Celebration of Life will be Friday, May 1, 2026 from 12-3:30 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Homes in Double Springs.  His  memorial service will follow at Corinth Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Heath is survived by his wife, Kapsey Hyche Lewis; daughter, Henley Bishop Lewis; mother, Rhonda Hudson Lewis; father, Randall Lewis; brother, Trent (Tierney) Lewis; father-in-law, Jeffery Hyche, mother-in-law, Sherry Hyche; brother-in-law, Rutger (Kayla) Hyche; grandmothers-in-law, Hilda Hyche and Iva Nell Reno; grandfather-in-law, Dickey (Shirley) Reno; nephew, Westin Hyche; niece, Hiedi Hyche; uncle, Bill Scott; special friends, Kevin and Michele Tolbert and a host of fellow law enforcement officers and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jackie Lewis; aunt, Juanita Scott; grandfather-in-law, Tarrie Hyche and uncle-in-law, Craig Reno.
