Betty Jo Martin, born December 10, 1936 to Luther and Ida Tidwell. Died Friday, July 24, 2026 at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. She loved to read and over the years loved working with her flowers in the yard. Her family was very important to her; she loved them all very much.
Survived by her husband of over 69 years, James L. Martin. Children - daughter - Debra (Dale) Wade; son - James R. Martin; grandchildren - Amanda (Curt) Ward, Adam (Nicki) Schrader, Todd (Angie) Martin, David (Wendy) Martin and Sawyer (Cason) Martin; sister-in-law, Maxine (Morris) Chambers; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her son, Timothy D. Martin; parents, Luther and Ida Tidwell; in-laws, Walter and Belva Martin; sisters, Billie, Janell, Peggy and Otis and brothers, Huey, David, and Grady.
