Brandon Scott McGaughy, 48, of the Macedonia community, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 at Walker Baptist Hospital.
Brandon was born September 2, 1978 to Gary and Jackie McGaughy. He was a kind and generous soul, often going out of his way to help those he found in need. He was full of life and a joy to the many friends he kept. Brandon was a hard worker and always put family first.
His graveside service will be held Monday, October 12, 2026 at noon at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Levi Sides will officiate. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Jackie McGaughy; brother, Jared McGaughy (Megan); daughter, Kynlie McGaughy and nieces and nephews, Alyssa McGaughy and Parker McGaughy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary McGaughy; grandparents, Dean and Emoise McGaughy and Margaret and Webb Duncan and uncle, Jerry McGaughy.
