HALEYVILLE - Talk about your proverbial barn burner. The Haleyville High School Lions pulled out a 79-77 win in overtime Thursday, Dec. 12, over area opponent Fayette Tigers.
The Lions had a two point lead with 26 seconds left in the game, but the Tigers tied it up with seven seconds to go at 68-68.

Braxtan Tollison was hot on the night from three-point land, scoring 29 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals;
Grant Dye had 13 points, 10 rebounds;
Grayson Long, 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 8 assists;
Rome Yarbrough, 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists;
Jon Tyler Gilbert, 7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists;
Clay Blanton, 6 points, 3 steals, 2 assists;
Brantson Lambert, 3 points, 6 rebounds.
The Lady Lions won by double digits, 56-41. Catie Aldridge led the scoring with 17 points, followed by Molly Gilbert with 15; Kaytee Beth Boyles, 9 points; Reagan Kutis and Mae Boyles, with 5 points each; Karlie Carroll and Tesley Callahan each had 2 points and Madison Caine with 1.
