Russell wins statewide honor in Farm-City poster contest

Funding for four new classrooms in Winston County announced

WINSTON COUNTY - Governor Kay Ivey and the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education have announced that 36 new classrooms will be funded through the Pre-K through 3rd Grade Integrated Approach to Early Learning (P-3).

“Annie Jr.” coming to Lynn

The cast of “Annie Jr.” at Lynn Schools is preparing for their big debut, with public performances of the play beginning Friday night.

LYNN - Orphan Annie will make a pre-holiday visit to Winston County this week in Lynn Schools’ production of the Broadway musical “Annie JR.”

Lynn Elementary, Lynn High and Meek High principals coming to Winston County Schools' Central Office

The new district administrators for Winston County Schools, from l-r: Jennifer Baker, who was serving as Lynn Elementary School’s principal; Marla Murrah, who was serving as Meek High School’s principal and Todd Tittle, who was serving as Lynn High School’s principal.

WINSTON COUNTY - Windfall funding to the Winston County Board of Education is being used to offset the costs of creating three new positions at the central office, with the filling of those positions causing a complete turnover at schools in Meek and Lynn.

Alsup new LES principal; Farris promoted to principal job at LHS

LYNN - A complete turnover in administration at Lynn Schools has resulted in Brad Alsup as the new elementary principal and the transfer of Daniel Farris to high school principal from the assistant’s role.
