HALEYVILLE - Residents will have an opportunity to meet Winston County’s team of state legislators who will be conducting a public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 11.
The meet and greet will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the commons area of Haleyville High School, with legislators talking to the public, then the formal meeting will start at 6 p.m.
In attendance to discuss local and state issues will be State Representatives Tracy Estes and Tim Wadsworth and State Senator Garlan Gudger, who will each discuss current issues of local and state importance, along with points of interest they expect to come up when the state legislature begins its 2024 session on February 6.
After each legislator has addressed the audience, the public will have the opportunity to ask them questions. The event will be moderated by local attorney Jeff Mobley, who has been the moderator each year the forum has been held.
“We are appreciative of the hard work our legislators do to help our communities and for taking the time to come and listen to our concerns,” Mobley stated. “We are blessed to have such a strong delegation to represent us.”
