Joseph Howard “Joe” Dickinson Jr., 72 ,of Hackleburg, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his residence.
He was born March 23, 1947 to Joseph H. Dickinson Sr. and Ruby H. Dickinson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and drag racing. Joe was a hard working man who loved his family and friends, and was loved by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where his funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 at 1 p.m. . Burial will be at Millstone Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Johnny Gunter will officiate.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Dickinson; children, Joanne (Patrick) Townsend, Joe Dickinson III, Travis Dickinson and Samantha (Wesley) Tucker; sister, Linda Gail Alexander; brothers, Jimmy Wayne Dickinson, Curtis A. Dickinson, James Marcus Dickinson and Billy Hugh Dickinson; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene Allen Cummings, Harold Buford Cummings and Thomas Lee Dickinson and sister, Catherine Ann Estill.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Townsend, Wesley Tucker, Keith Stults, Bob Rollins, Johnny Willis and Steve Pickins.
