Most area law enforcement switching to digital radios Feb. 28

WINSTON COUNTY - The Winston County Sheriff’s Office has announced that communications on both their hand-held and vehicle radios is being switched over from analog to digital, providing a much clearer means of communication, effective Feb. 28.

Rodgers named chief deputy

WINSTON COUNTY - Brett Rodgers, known most recently as school resource officer for Addison Schools as well as officer for the town of Addison, has been welcomed onboard by newly appointed sheriff Horace Moore as chief deputy of the sheriff’s office.

ADDISON - Complaints of illegal narcotics activity at an Addison residence led to the finding of 14 growing marijuana plants as well as methamphetamine, in what law enforcement have termed a drug distribution operation.
