Edward Knox, 91, of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026. He was retired from the U.S. Forest Service and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2026 from 1 - 2 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church in Haleyville. His funeral will begin at 2 p.m. in the church, with Dr. Ron Horton officiating. Burial to follow in Sutton Cemetery. Pinkard Funeral Home will direct.
Pallbearers will be Colton Knox, Casey Hammack, Phillip Greene, Mike Kirkpatrick, Tristan Gunter and Jeffrey Hale.
He is survived by his children, Nathan (Paula) Knox and Jessica (Jeffrey) Hale; grandchildren, Jenna Crumpton, Kelsie (Paul) Prados, Colton Knox, Sarah Crumpton (fiance` Tristan Gunter), Amelia, Zoey and Gabriel Williams; sister, Ila (Daniel) Kirkpatrick, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Renett Knox, parents, Albert and Ruthie Knox; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Vince Crumpton and sons-in-law, Tim Cook and Greg Williams.
The family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to his nieces, along with the staff at Azalea Manor in Haleyville, 5th floor nurses at NAMC and extended family and friends for their love, care and continuous support.
