Proposed Consent Order

Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) is proposing to issue an Order to Bassett Furniture Industries of North Carolina, LLC – Bassett Furniture Industries, located at 207 County Road 90, near the City of Haleyville, Winston County, Alabama.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, Ala. Code §§22-22A-1 to 22-22A-17, as amended, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue a Consent Order to Grayson Lumber Corporation, the owner/operator of a lumber manufacturing facility currently operating in Houston, Winston County, Alabama. The violation consisted of emitting air pollutants in excess of permitted limits and failure to complete construction of its continuous opacity monitoring system prior to startup.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, Code of Alabama §§ 22-22A-1 through §§ 22-22A-16 (2006 Rplc. Vol.), and the Solid Wastes and Recyclable Materials Management Act (SWRMMA), Ala. Code §§ 22-27-1 to 22-27-18 (2006 Rplc. Vol.) as amended, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue a Consent Order to Hyche Landfill, LLC...
