WINSTON/MARION - The high school fall sports season gets underway this Thursday, as several volleyball teams take to the court to begin their seasons.
Three of the teams in the Alabamian’s coverage area will begin their season ranked in the AL.com preseason polls. Last year’s Class 2A champs, the Addison Lady Bulldogs, will be playing in Class 1A this season, due to reclassification by the Alabama High School Athletic Association, which takes place every two years. The Lady Dawgs are ranked number 1 in the preseason poll, a familiar spot for the team, which has also won state championships in Class 1A.
Also ranked in the preseason poll is Meek High School, which comes in at number 3. In Class 2A, Winston County High School is ranked number 5 in the preseason poll.
