NOTICE OF
VACATION OF COUNTY ROAD
WHEREAS, the following Resolution, assenting to and approving the vacation thereof and the annulment of the dedication of the portion of the following County Road to the use of the public, has been approved by the Winston County Commission and recorded in Book 2026, Page 4781, on September 1, 2026 @ 10:57 a.m., with the Winston County Probate Judge’s Office:
WHEREAS, the Winston County Commission of Winston County, Alabama, is desirous of vacating, in the interest of the public, a section of road included in the Winston County Road System and described as follows:
A parcel of land located in the NW ¼ of the NE ¼ and the SW ¼ of the NE ¼, Section 14, Township 12 South, Range 6 West of the Huntsville Meridian, Winston County, Alabama, being more particularly described as follows:
A portion of the public right-of-way coming off of the end of Co. Road #3938, proceeding Southerly approximately 525 feet, which is the length of the vacated right-of-way.
Property as described above will be transferred to the following abutting land owners, Larry A. Nelson and wife, Madonna B. Nelson, and Micky James and wife, Carla Underwood. Property will be transferred along the existing road centerline to the adjacent property owners.
WHEREAS, this vacation shall not deprive other property owners of any right they may have to convenient and reasonable means of ingress and egress to and from their property.
