HALEYVILLE - One could say that Haleyville Elementary Principal Christy Bice got all wrapped up in the reptile show held Wednesday, Feb. 26, when she got to meet a large python literally face to face.

Yarbrough's Educational Reptiles, a company that has been around the past 53 years, returned to Haleyville Elementary for a show teaching children about venomous and non-venomous snakes as well as what to do if one encounters a snake. The show featured an exotic python to other types of snakes as well as alligators and tortoises. Children during the break between the two shows held Wednesday morning, were allowed to  pet the snakes and other animals, including Sweet Pea the alligator, who at first was not impressed with being held. Elementary educators also lined up holding a large python, with Bice modeling the snake for the audience.  Yarbrough's Educational Reptiles does shows at schools and for communities throughout Alabama, Geogia and Mississippi, owner Becky Yarbrough Tucker said.
