Delmar Fire & Rescue benefits from needed grant

DELMAR - Flooding issues at the Delmar fire station through the years have finally been corrected, thanks to funding received from the Northwest Resource Conservation and Development Council.

Help sought for dangerous intersection


Large trucks are being discouraged from using County Road 62 at Highway 13, due to the dangerous slope and limited visibility.
DELMAR - A railroad crossing at County Roads 62 and 3505 has proven dangerous for motorists, especially larger trucks that turn into the opposite lane of Highway 13 in order to navigate their heavy loads.

Storm damage reported after tornado-warned storm

Update, 1:07 p.m.:  Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency have stated that County Roads 81 and 32 are now reopened to traffic.  County Road 28 is still closed.  Crews are currently on County Road 28 working to remove debris.

Update:  The worst damage appears to be in the Ashridge area near the Henryfield community.  The Alabamian has reporters in the area and will have more as it becomes available.
