Meek falls to Marion County 35-20

GUIN - The Marion County Red Raiders snapped a four-game losing streak on Friday, Oct. 18, with a hard-fought 35-20 win over the Tigers of Meek High School.
The Red Raiders, who are now 5-4 on the season and 3-3 in region play, got off to a hot start in the Class 1A, Region 6 matchup, opening the contest with a commanding 20-0 run.
The Tigers had two scores in the second half, but the rally wasn't enough as they eventually fell to the hosting Raiders.

Raiders hold off Lynn to earn first region win in dramatic fashion

GUIN - Marion County forced a fumble that was recovered by the Red Raiders' Jameson Webb as time expired against Lynn at the 2-yard line to capture the 20-18 Red Raider victory.
The win propelled Marion County to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in Class 1A, Region 6 while Lynn dropped to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in Region 6.
"We've got to learn to finish," Marion County head coach Kyle Williams said following the contest. "We had a couple of opportunities to put the game away and came up short.
