Betty Faye Denson, 81, of Arley, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, at UAB Hospital.
Betty was born September 18, 1944 to Duel and Gladys Farley.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in the Helicon community. Mrs. Denson will lie in state on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 1-3 p.m. Bro. Greg Dollar will officiate the service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Michael Denson; son, Rodney (Tina) Denson; daughter, Maryann Denson; granddaughters, Hillary Ploppert, Hannah (Michael) Sullivan and Emily (Michael) Rowe; great-granddaughters, Olive and Maple Rolley; sisters, Kay Breed and Joyce (Bob) Kennedy; brother-in-law, Wayne (Shirley) Denson and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys "Jane" Farley; father, Duel "Hoss" Farley; brothers, Bob and Darrell Farley; mother-in-law, Minnie Denson and brothers-in-law, Jack and Brent Denson.
